DF95 Open Meeting – Met & Southern Traveller Series
After a night of heavy rain which resulted in the Chipstead SC lake being full to the bank
of water. 24 sailors arrived entering the Chipstead SC round of the Met & Southern DF95 Travellers Series.
The wind was SW light with variation in strength and direction. A beat/run course was set.
The morning session was dominated by Nigel Barrow who won all the 8 races with Adrian Tomlinson, Martin Crysell and Andrew French all competing well for the higher places.
Towards lunch, the wind increased slightly in strength but still in the same direction and within the Rig 1 range.
After lunch, the afternoon session proved to be a much more open racing with wins for Barrie Martin and David Adams. However, Nigel Barrow and Adrian Tomlinson continued to be consistent staying within the first five places.
The racing finished after completing 17 races. This was followed by the prizegiving.
